Looking for suggestions… What is the Best Landscape Software (for Design)?
What is the best lawn care software design package to use? More specifically, what is the best design tool to use to create a landscape design?
I actually don’t know the answer to this. There are a lot of options out there. There are 300R solutions and there are solutions that cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I know that Dynascape makes a package. You might take a look at that.
Because I don’t know the answer, if you have a suggestion of a great landscape design package, please put that answer in the comments below. If you are on YouTube, put it below in the comment section. Let’s see what other people recommend and what they are using. Maybe we’ll find the answer. But, I personally, do not know what the very best landscape package is to use.
My starting point would be looking at Dynascape, doing some Google searches, and asking on Planet if you are part of that organization. If you would, then bring those comments back here so that we can figure out what the best solution is.

Vizterra by structure studios. They are the makers of Pool studio, leader in pool design software. It is subscription of $99 per month.
The instruction videos are great to learn how to use the product.
The pavestone ICPI instructor raved about it… For good reason.

Realtime Landscaping Pro 2014 by Idea Spectrum. I purchased this (not very expensive) and produced 3D virtual designs that clients can walk through and see it as if they already had it installed. You can also produce a virtual 3D video walk through or fly over. You can see the plants based on number of years, season, times of days, etc… Most software shows the plants only when they are flowering or at their peak time of year, but this package shows you plants based on season and growth period. Jobs are much easier to sell!

This is the package I first used back in 2005: http://prolandscape.com/en/ — it worked fine for us at the time; however, around 2007 we exited the landscape business after realizing it wasn’t our area of expertise and didn’t align without strategy. Hence the reason I don’t know who has the very best landscape design software.
